Tenor markets are built to support Chainlink oracles. The oracles are necessary to facilitate the borrowing of a loan currency against collateral assets.

Uniswap's core AMM facilitates the trading in "price space" but doesn't support swapping in "yield space". For example, Unsiwap's core AMM supports swapping USDC for ETH, but can't support the swapping of USDC for USDC fixed rate tokens (e.g. swap USDC for Pendle USDC PTs). To facilitate the swapping of fixed rate tokens, we built a custom interest rate AMM. The interest rate AMM supports the swapping of ERC20 tokens for Fixed rate tokens using interest rate ticks instead of the standard Uniswap price ticks. The Tenor V4 hook enables the lending of assets directly through Uniswap V4, effectively creating a "Uniswap Earn" feature.
Tenor's AMM enables the creation of fixed rate lending markets through Uniswap V4. It enables market creators to create specific pools where users can swap ERC-20 tokens for fixed rate tokens. The rise of Pendle has shown that the market for trading yield and lending at fixed rate is large. Using the Tenor interest rate AMM, Uniswap V4 will be able to support swapping for this growing asset class.
Designing and building the AMM was quite challenging as swapping in "yield space" is more complex than swapping in "price space". This is because the AMM needs to account for the time dimension (e.g. time to maturity) when swapping. The AMM also needs to ensure that LP positions and limit orders are not fungible across ticks.
We want to audit the codebase to enable market creators to deploy custom fixed rate markets on top of their existing Morpho vaults.
